Chichester College: NVQs in Electronic Security Detect are committed to the ongoing training and development of our staff at all levels. We are proud of the highly skilled engineers we already have as employees but we also believe in the value of ongoing training.

We are currently supporting the apprenticeship scheme through Chichester College so we can help train the next generation of engineers and other staff, to benefit our clients and provide them with the high quality service they expect from Detect at all times. Apprentices gain practical skills in a real workplace environment to compliment their more formal learning, which for our apprentices at Detect means that they learn first hand about fire protection and security systems.

This electronic lock is built into a door handle, and is completely wireless, allowing it to be installed quickly and easily in a wide range of situations. Fire risk assessor and hotel manager jailed for fire safety offences

An external fire risk assessor and a hotel manager have both been jailed for eight months for fire safety offences.

David Liu, who runs The Dial Hotel and Market Inn, both in Mansfield, had previously pleaded guilty at Nottingham Crown Court to 15 offences under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, while John O’Rourke of Mansfield Fire Protection Services pleaded guilty to two offences under the legislation.

Christopher Morris, 56, of Llandudno, a former retained fire fighter, appeared at Manchester Crown Court yesterday and was fined £5000 and ordered to pay £6000 in costs.
