Access control offers a simple, cost-effective way to secure your premises, keeping your personnel, property, assets and visitors safe.
Electronic access control is an efficient and convenient way to control access to your premises; proximity readers make access control simple, and there’s no problem with lost or stolen keys. There is no need to physically swipe a card, and they also enable you to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act.
Detect specialise in the supply and installation of state of the art proximity readers for all buildings regardless of size or number of access points.

Proximity readers use contactless RFID technology to securely store individual identification and access permissions on a card or key fob, reducing the possibility of damage or copying. Users simply pass their card or fob near the proximity reader to gain access, without the need to swipe a card. Cards/fobs can typically be read from 100mm, but longer ranges are possible
Data on the cards is encrypted, offering a high level of security, and being a contactless technology, wear and tear on the card and card reader is reduced. The contactless door entry systems are also faster than swipe card or biometric systems, ideal where there is a high volume of users.
To provide you with a total security solution, proximity readers can also be incorporated into your other access control systems, such as:
Proximity readers can be installed at internal and external doors as well as other entry points and are housed in weather and vandal-proof housings for outdoor use. They can be programmed to restrict access to specific areas and can record details of when and where the card was used.
Detect supplies and installs a wide range of proximity readers from major suppliers such as Paxton and TDSI, and are proud to be a registered Paxton Gold supplier. All proximity systems are supplied and installed to NSi NACP30 standard.
